Case Study: Elevating Tesco F&F European Sites.

Client Background

Tesco F&F, a retail giant, entrusted us at Draw agency with the task of maintaining and evolving its European online presence. Ensuring a visually appealing and user-friendly interface for the Tesco F&F European audience was at the heart of our mission. Over 6 years working on the Tesco F&F account the role required updates for five European websites for the Brand in Hungary, Poland, Czechia, Slovakia and Turkey.

 

Responsibilities

Seasonal Product Matrix Updates

Although the sites were for viewing the products and directing customers instore, each season it was still required to crop, retouch and sort thousands of seasonal product images to display on the sites via the product matrix and upload them to the CMS (content management system)

Website design Updates

Whether it was revamping entire sections or crafting attention-grabbing sale banners, my role extended to keeping the Tesco F&F website dynamic and engaging. It was about providing a seamless online shopping experience for our users.

CMS System Edits

Editing content on the CMS system was a daily task. Accuracy and timeliness were key to ensuring our users received the latest information on products, promotions, and events.

Multilingual Translation

Taking on the challenge of translating content into five languages—Polish, Czech, Slovak, Hungarian, and Turkish—was a large part of the role. This was across all web cotent on the CMS and all banner designs, which at the time had to be carried out manually in photoshop. this was then double checked by the individual european teams.

entire Website Redesign

I spearheaded the redesign of the Tesco F&F website multiple times. Each redesign aimed to bring a fresh and modern look, aligning with the evolving trends and user preferences.

Printed Media and Leaflets

Beyond the digital realm, I delved into creating printed media and leaflets. It was about extending Tesco F&F's brand consistency to offline channels, ensuring a cohesive representation across all touchpoints.

Accomplishments

  • Won and expanded business with F&F, resulting in a 6 year ~£300k/year contract.

  • Maintaining the development and upkeep of their web presence in 5 european countries, also designing mailshots and

    coordinating thousands of products for their seasonal product matrix updates.

  • Implemented consistent and impactful visual branding across digital channels, ensuring brand

    guidelines were followed meticulously while also redesigning all websites multiple times

  • Maintaining a consistent multilingual presence for sales, offers and other seasonal campaigns, expanding Tesco F&F's reach in diverse markets despite the sites not being E-commerce based.
